Win condition
The reliable six-step fight plan
- Enter with ice, not fire
Equip a dependable ice source before the objective begins. The boss takes 50% extra ice damage but substantially reduces fire and blast damage.
- Fight from a diagonal lane
Standing directly in front makes the three-projectile ranged sequence harder to read. A diagonal angle leaves a clean sidestep route.
- Clear Redstone Cubes immediately
Small summons reduce safe floor space and interrupt revives. Remove them before returning to boss damage.
- Hold the roll for commitment attacks
Do not spend movement on ordinary repositioning. Save it for the charge, the closing melee swing, or a hazard that appears underfoot.
- Damage during recovery
Use short, repeatable damage windows after the ranged sequence or a missed charge instead of extending a combo into the next attack.
- Reset rather than trade
If healing, revive space, or the arena lane is compromised, disengage, clear cubes, and rebuild the safe angle.
Attack reads
Read each Redstone Monstrosity attack
| Attack | What happens | Response |
|---|---|---|
| Melee | A close-range physical hit | Leave melee range after the committed punish window instead of trading. |
| Ranged sequence | Three explosive fire projectiles that apply Burned | Move sideways across the firing line; do not retreat in the same lane. |
| Charge | A fast gap-closing melee attack on forms that use it | Roll across or past the line late, then turn for a brief punish. |
| Area hazard | Ground danger placed around the arena | Move first and attack second; never finish a combo inside the marked floor. |
| Summon | Redstone Cubes enter and constrict space | Clear cubes before the next boss cycle, especially in solo play. |
Preparation
A loadout that survives the finale
Prioritize these jobs
- Ice application: the only published 1.5× elemental weakness for this boss.
- Reliable add clear: an area attack or artifact that removes Redstone Cubes without spending the main boss cooldown.
- One defensive reset: healing, shielding, movement, or control that restores a safe lane after a mistake.
- Consistent damage: avoid a fire-centered build and do not depend on blast damage for the kill.
- Co-op revive space: spread around the boss so one floor hazard cannot cover every player.
