Privacy and transparency
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Choicer Voicer receives when you play the free online game, browse our guides, follow a download link, contact us, or use an account-related feature. It also explains how Google and other advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers when advertising technology is present on our pages.
Effective date:
1. Scope and key points
This Privacy Policy applies to choicervoicer.io, including the playable browser game, localized game editions, Voice Pack and Mods information, device guides, download guidance, legal pages, and any retained account, billing, or support areas available through this domain. It does not control the privacy practices of a third-party website that you choose to visit, such as an external download marketplace, community forum, Pack page, payment processor, or advertising provider.
Choicer Voicer has two clearly separated recording flows. Classic game editions and locally imported My Mods keep takes in the active browser tab. The homepage AI Dub flow intentionally uploads only the one to three samples you choose to record so it can create a temporary voice and generate the selected scene. Other parts of the site receive ordinary web-request information, and third-party services loaded on a page may receive information according to their own policies. Advertising is one of those services, so the advertising disclosures below are an important part of this policy.
2. Information we receive
The information we receive depends on what you do. Simply reading a guide does not require you to submit a name or email address. If you email us, open a support request through an existing account, or otherwise communicate with us, we receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide. A message may include device details, screenshots, or other information you add to help us understand a problem.
Retained account features may contain an email address, display name, authentication identifier, account settings, usage history, credit ledger, team membership, subscription status, invoices, support tickets, and security or abuse-prevention status. Where Google sign-in is available, Google provides the identity fields authorized on the sign-in screen; Choicer Voicer does not receive your Google password. Where a paid feature is available, Stripe processes payment credentials directly. We may receive transaction identifiers, plan, amount, currency, status, invoice details, and limited customer information needed to reconcile the purchase, provide access, prevent fraud, and answer billing questions.
3. Microphone access, AI Dub, and local game recordings
Choicer Voicer asks for microphone permission only when a player starts a recording action that requires it. Your browser and operating system control that permission. You can refuse it, revoke it later, or change it in the site-permission settings for your browser. A refusal may prevent recording and playback features from working, but it does not prevent you from reading the site’s guides and other public information.
Classic game editions and a Dub Pack imported through Upload My Mods hold microphone takes and Pack files in browser memory or browser-local IndexedDB storage. Those local recordings and archives are not sent to Choicer Voicer. Closing the tab removes active local recordings; an imported Pack can remain in that browser until you remove it or clear the site’s local data.
On the homepage AI Dub flow, pressing Generate intentionally sends only voice samples that passed the browser’s basic voice check. The samples are placed in private, site-scoped cloud storage, analyzed inside an isolated media service, and sent to a contracted voice-processing provider to create a temporary voice and transform the prepared scene dialogue. The temporary voice and uploaded samples are deleted after the generation attempt. They are not used for advertising or added to a public voice library.
The finished video is stored privately. An unpaid preview is retained for up to 24 hours. A completed $5 export purchase provides private playback and download entitlement for 365 days. Playback and downloads use short-lived signed links rather than a public media address. Transaction, entitlement, job-status, and security records may remain longer where needed for account access, payment reconciliation, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
4. Technical, browser, and device information
Like most websites, our servers and infrastructure automatically receive technical information when your browser requests a page or asset. This may include the requested URL, date and time, IP address, approximate location inferred from the IP address, referring page, browser type and language, operating system, device type, response status, and diagnostic or security events. Hosting, content-delivery, firewall, and logging providers may process the same categories while delivering the site and protecting it from attacks.
When account or generation protections are active, Choicer Voicer may create privacy-protective hashed signals derived from a first-party device token, network information, browser characteristics, and a browser environment digest. These signals are intended to identify repeated abuse, automated activity, quota evasion, or linked free-account behavior without storing the readable fingerprint components in the abuse records. We use these signals for service security and fair access, not to build an advertising audience. Advertising providers independently determine what advertising identifiers they use, as described below.
5. Google AdSense and third-party advertising
Choicer Voicer uses Google AdSense advertising technology. Third-party vendors and advertisers, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, device information, and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ads being served or advertising code being loaded on this website. These technologies may be used to deliver and render ads, limit how often an ad appears, measure ad performance, detect invalid traffic or fraud, remember advertising preferences, and—where permitted by applicable law and your settings—personalize advertising.
Google advertising requests may involve domains such as google.com, doubleclick.net, googlesyndication.com, or googleadservices.com. Information automatically sent to Google can include the page URL and your IP address. Google may also set a cookie or read an existing cookie. Google and its advertising partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to Choicer Voicer or other websites. Depending on your settings and eligibility, ads may be personalized using prior activity, or they may be non-personalized and selected using contextual information such as the current page, general location, browser type, or search terms.
For a direct explanation from Google, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s advertising technology explanation. Google and participating third-party vendors control their own advertising systems and privacy practices; Choicer Voicer does not receive the contents of their cookies or a list identifying every ad a particular visitor has seen.
7. How and why we use information
We use information for the purposes reasonably connected to operating Choicer Voicer. Those purposes include:
- delivering pages, game assets, Packs information, guides, and download links;
- providing local microphone recording for classic play and securely processing samples intentionally submitted through AI Dub;
- creating a temporary voice, transforming prepared scene dialogue, mixing background audio, and delivering a private generated video;
- responding to email, support, privacy, billing, copyright, and safety requests;
- maintaining existing accounts, usage history, entitlements, invoices, and support records;
- measuring aggregate traffic, diagnosing failures, improving mobile compatibility, and understanding which public resources are useful;
- protecting players, creators, the service, and advertising systems from abuse, malicious traffic, fraud, and policy violations;
- meeting contractual, accounting, tax, legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations; and
- displaying, measuring, and supporting advertising that helps keep the online game and guides available.
We do not use local takes or AI Dub voice samples for advertising. Local recordings never leave the browser; submitted AI Dub samples are used only for the requested generation and are then deleted as described above. We also do not ask you to place sensitive personal information in a support message. If diagnostic details are sufficient, avoid sending passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or private recordings.
Where European data-protection law applies, the operator of Choicer Voicer is the controller for information collected directly through this site and can be contacted at [email protected]. The legal basis depends on the activity: we process information to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps when we provide an account, paid feature, support, or requested service; we rely on consent for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, and other activities where consent is required; we rely on legitimate interests to operate, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and understand the service, respond to ordinary communications, and prevent fraud, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and we process information when necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
You may withdraw consent at any time through the available privacy controls, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Choicer Voicer does not make solely automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Advertising providers may use automated systems for ad selection as explained in their own notices and controlled by the consent and opt-out choices described below.
8. When information is shared
Choicer Voicer uses service providers to operate a public website. Depending on the feature, those providers may include hosting and content-delivery services, private cloud storage, isolated media processing, contracted voice processing, security and logging infrastructure, analytics, advertising services such as Google, affiliate attribution, email, authentication, support tooling, and payment processing such as Stripe. They receive information appropriate to the service they provide and operate under their own terms, privacy notices, and contractual responsibilities.
We may also preserve, use, or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect a person from harm; investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, or violations; establish or defend legal claims; protect Choicer Voicer, players, creators, and the public; or support a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service. If ownership changes, information may transfer subject to applicable law and the promises in effect at the time.
External Pack, Mod, community, video, download, and marketplace links are not operated merely because Choicer Voicer links to them. When you follow one, the destination may receive your IP address, browser details, and referring URL and may set its own cookies. Review that destination’s policy before submitting information or downloading software.
9. Retention and security
We retain categories of information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, including providing a requested feature, keeping accurate transaction and support records, enforcing usage limits, preventing repeated abuse, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. AI Dub samples and the temporary cloned voice are removed after the generation attempt. An unpaid generated video is retained for up to 24 hours, while a purchased export remains available for 365 days. Public-server logs and temporary diagnostics may be short-lived; account, invoice, security, or support records may need to remain longer. Backups may retain a protected copy for a limited period after an operational record is removed.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, such as HTTPS, access controls, site-scoped records, private storage for protected files, limited server-side credentials, request validation, and monitoring. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect your email account and device, keep credentials confidential, and contact us if you believe an existing Choicer Voicer account or interaction has been compromised.
10. Your cookie, advertising, and browser choices
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings and can revoke microphone access in the browser’s site-permission panel. These choices apply on that browser and device, so you may need to repeat them elsewhere. Blocking all first-party cookies can disrupt essential site functions. Blocking advertising cookies does not necessarily remove every ad; you may still receive contextual or non-personalized advertising.
You can review or change Google advertising personalization through Google My Ad Center and the Google partner ads settings. Google also explains browser, mobile advertising ID, and account controls in its privacy documentation. Your browser may offer tracking protection, third-party-cookie restrictions, private browsing, or site-data deletion. Mobile operating systems may provide a resettable advertising identifier and separate ad-personalization setting.
Choicer Voicer uses Google’s consent and privacy-messaging tools for regions where an advertising choice is required. If a European consent message is presented, you can accept, reject, or manage the available purposes and vendors. Google’s on-page message supplies a Privacy and cookie settings control when it applies. You can also reopen that European control here: Privacy and cookie settings. If a U.S. state message or a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link is presented, use it to opt out of processing treated as a sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. The footer’s Privacy Choices link always returns to these instructions.
A recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), may communicate a sale or sharing opt-out for that browser where applicable law requires it and the advertising consent platform supports it. You can also use the visible U.S. state privacy message or contact us if you need help exercising a Choicer Voicer-specific right. Consent and opt-out choices do not prevent processing that is strictly necessary to deliver a requested page, secure the service, remember the choice itself, or meet a legal obligation.
11. Access, correction, deletion, and regional privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the nature of the information, you may have rights to ask whether we process personal information about you, request access or a portable copy, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or appeal a decision. These rights can have exceptions—for example, when records are needed to complete a transaction, protect security, exercise legal rights, or comply with law. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comparable rights, you may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work or where you believe an infringement occurred. The European Data Protection Board lists national supervisory authorities. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to address the concern, but doing so does not remove your right to complain to an authority.
Send a request to [email protected] and describe the account, interaction, or record involved. We may need to verify that you control the relevant email address, account, or browser interaction before disclosing or changing protected information. If local law permits an authorized agent to submit a request, we may ask for proof of authorization and direct identity confirmation. Please do not email passwords or full payment-card details. Google, Stripe, external download services, and other independent providers control requests concerning information in their own systems; use the privacy tools or contact channels supplied by those providers.
12. California and U.S. state privacy disclosures
This section provides additional information for California residents and people covered by similar U.S. state privacy laws. It applies to the extent the relevant law covers Choicer Voicer and supplements the other sections of this policy. In the preceding 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected, their sources, and their uses were as follows:
- Identifiers and contact information
- Examples include an IP address, first-party device or session identifier, email address, account identifier, and display name. Sources include you, your browser or device, authentication providers, and service providers. We use them to deliver and secure the site, maintain a requested account or session, answer requests, enforce limits, attribute an eligible referral, and support advertising.
- Commercial and transaction information
- Examples include a selected plan, purchase amount and currency, transaction or invoice identifier, subscription status, and entitlement history. Sources include you and payment providers such as Stripe. We use them to provide a purchased feature, maintain records, prevent fraud, answer billing questions, and meet accounting or legal duties. Choicer Voicer does not receive full payment-card credentials from Stripe.
- Internet, browser, and device activity
- Examples include requested pages, referring and exit pages, timestamps, browser and operating-system details, language, device type, security events, aggregate usage, ad requests, and advertising identifiers handled by advertising providers. Sources include your browser, our servers, analytics, security providers, and advertising providers. Uses include page delivery, diagnostics, analytics, fraud prevention, frequency capping, advertising, and ad measurement.
- Approximate location
- An IP address may indicate a country, state, or city-level area. Sources include the network request and providers that interpret it. Uses include security, localization, compliance, contextual advertising, and aggregate reporting. Choicer Voicer does not request precise GPS location for the browser game.
- Communications and user-supplied content
- Examples include support messages, screenshots, and details you choose to send. They come from you and are used to answer the request, troubleshoot, enforce policies, or protect legal rights. Classic game takes remain local. Voice samples become user-supplied content only when you intentionally submit them through the clearly labeled AI Dub generation flow, where they are used for that request and then deleted.
- Security and service inferences
- Examples include a hashed risk signal suggesting repeated abuse, automated activity, linked free-account behavior, or quota evasion. They are derived from device, browser, network, account, and activity signals and are used to secure the service, prevent fraud, and provide fair access. Choicer Voicer does not use these security inferences to create an advertising audience.
We may disclose these categories for business purposes to the provider types identified in Section 8, including hosting, content delivery, security, analytics, advertising, referral attribution, email, authentication, support, storage, and payment providers. The category depends on what that provider needs to perform its service. We may also disclose relevant information for the legal, safety, and business-transfer circumstances described in Section 8.
Choicer Voicer does not exchange personal information for money. In the preceding 12 months, however, advertising providers may have collected identifiers, approximate location, and internet or device activity through Choicer Voicer for personalized advertising. Some U.S. state laws may define that activity as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a “sale” even when no money changes hands. Where that definition applies, you can opt out through the U.S. state privacy message, the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control supplied with that message, a recognized GPC signal as described above, or an email request. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
Subject to applicable law and exceptions, covered residents may request the categories or specific pieces of personal information collected about them, the categories of sources and recipients, and the business or commercial purposes; request correction or deletion; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; use an authorized agent; and receive equal service without retaliation for exercising a right. Choicer Voicer does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate right to limit under California law. Submit a direct request using the email and verification process in Section 11.
13. Children, international use, policy updates, and contact
Choicer Voicer is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. A child should not submit account, support, payment, or other personal information without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Where local law sets a higher age for valid consent to an online service, parental or guardian involvement is required up to that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.
The site and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy and data-protection rules may differ across those locations. Where European data-protection law applies to a transfer controlled by Choicer Voicer, we use a legally recognized mechanism as required, such as an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Independent providers explain the safeguards for their systems in their own privacy notices.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the game, advertising, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may receive additional notice where appropriate. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. You can also review our Terms of Service, learn more About Choicer Voicer, or return to the free online game.
